FREE MEN LEAVE ROOM

FOR GOD'S WRATH

I Samuel 24

David and his men were tired and had been on the run from Saul for many days. And now while hiding in a cave, David was given a more than obvious chance to slay Saul, and was even encouraged by his men to take vengeance on Saul. The Lord gave David the wisdom and patience to not attack Saul. He instead showed restraint and proved that he in fact, did not have any hatred for the Lord’s anointed. David respected that Saul was made King by the Lord, and vengeance and justice was not his own to take, but the Lords.

This was the will of the Lord and precisely why we are to love our enemies, and always make room for the truly righteous justice of God.

If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men. Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord.

~Romans 12:18-19

Do you trust God and leave room for Him to work His justice?
