Dear Church Family,
In the week that has passed since the sudden and unexpected loss of our beloved Pastor and dear friend Kevin, we have been greatly encouraged and comforted by the countless ways we have seen the Lord’s hand at work. Every conversation, interaction, prayer, and condolence has pointed to the goodness of God, and we can see that He has been leading us gently toward and through this difficult time. The words of Psalm 125:2 hold true:
“As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the LORD surrounds his people both now and forevermore.”
Kevin’s life, his love for others, and his devotion to the Lord are worthy of celebration, so a special service will be held in Kevin’s honor at Grace Fellowship Bible Church on Saturday, October 29th at 10:30 a.m. Reception to follow. Please join us if you are able.
Many of you have expressed a desire to show your love to the Robinson family by helping with the details and arrangements for this service. Thank you! To help facilitate the process of organizing all of the offers of help, we’ve created a brief form for you to share your interests and availability. Please click HERE to fill it out.
In addition to practical offers of help, we’d also like to provide an opportunity for you to share special memories or stories about Kevin that Kelly and the rest of the family can read and enjoy together. There will be cards available at church this Sunday for you to fill out and return to the designated box on the ministry table in the foyer.
Finally, Kelly has requested that in lieu of sending flowers, we support Kevin’s heart for world missions by making donations to the Ukraine Crisis Fund. Donations can be made in several ways:
Write a check to Grace Fellowship Bible Church and note “Ukraine Crisis Fund” on the giving envelope.
Visit abwe.org/work/missionaries-and-projects and locate the story on Ukraine; click to open the article and locate the “Give Now” button.
Once again, thank you for all of the ways you have loved each other well in grief throughout the past week, praising God and pressing in toward one another. We walk through the valley of the shadow of death with full assurance that our God is with us!
